In regards to the Wild Geese piece
This piece specifically mirrors to a silkscreen print I did for one of my school assignments which you can find in the corresponding page.
I wasn't very proud of the school piece mainly because I didn't draw geese and it didn't capture the poem like I wanted to.
SO this is a redemption piece, which is a montage artwork depicting two sisters transforming into geese to fly away (another one dedicated to my sister)
Wild Geese is my sister's favorite poem of all time. I hope this piece can represent what I see when I hear my sister narrate Mary Oliver's poem to me. I see explosions of love, sparks of heartbreak, and a small quiet stream that flows towards the setting sun.
Sometimes I'll be working on projects that aren't as simple as put a drawing on a piece of paper.
